About me

I was sixteen years old when I became the youngest qualified Professional Hunter in South Africa.

At the age of 18 I’ve joined Johan Calitz Safaris in Botswana as an apprentice dangerous game Professional Hunter. In a short period of time I’ve gained unsurpassed experience in the hunting of trophy elephant, buffalo, lion, crocodile, hippo and plains game.

My experience as a hunter was complimented by other safari related training and experiences. Building luxurious safari camps in the African bush, maintenance and management of camps and staff comes natural to me.

I’ve built on these experiences as I pursued dangerous game hunting in Tanzania and Mozambique. For the period 2005 to 2017 I’ve built more than thirty (30) fully equipped luxurious safari camps in both Tanzania and Mozambique.

I’ve not only been the main professional hunter operating from each of these camps, but has professionally managed these camps, personnel and the administration of complete safari seasons.

Within a few Tanzanian seasons I became fluent in the local language, Swahili. The language added to my rich resume, the ability to communicate with the local people in Tanzania and Mozambique.

I have a full record of successful safaris in Tanzania, Mozambique and South Africa. With future bookings by new and return clients my reputation speaks for itself.

During pre-season and pre-safaris I’m spending countless hours scouting and studying the hunting concession where my next safari will take place. My experience provides me that true ability and sixth sense to do the right things at the right times. I’m a true student of nature.

It was through my hunting skills, years of experience in dangerous game hunting, combined with my people- and management skills that I’m labelled today as the complete Professional Hunter.
